When I think about home I think about the places where I can find peace, be nurtured and be myself. For me, it's these 3 plants--string of pearls, pink begonias & burro's tail. They embody strength from the two women I look up to--my mother and grandmother, being with them is being home.

Marisol Ortega is a first generation Mexican-American designer/illustrator currently residing outside of Seattle, WA. She's heavily influenced by nature, working with her hands and the many colors of our planet. Her work reflects an exploration of nature, her cultures and a bright color palette.
