I’ve never lived in Lisbon; I’ve only visited once, but I was enchanted and now dream of making it my future home. The city’s pastels and bold hues juxtapose ornate, hand-painted tiles. Whizzing across mosaic streets are the iconic yellow trolleys. In Lisbon, I hang dried laundry on a clothesline for the first time, taking part in the collective sprinkling of the city with even more color. Someday, I hope that will be routine.
