California - Sacramento

I grew up near the location where the gold rush started. As a child, I held on to a dream that I would find my own nugget of California gold. For this piece, I tried to capture the magnitude of what James Marshall started. As he let out a small celebration for a single gold nugget, he couldn't have known that it would shift the course of history.
